Buxus has small, glossy, dark green leaves that are oval-shaped. The foliage is dense and evergreen, providing year-round interest. Buxus has a compact, rounded growth habit. It can be pruned and shaped easily, making it ideal for topiary and formal garden styles.

<strong>Light:</strong> Buxus prefers bright, indirect light. It can tolerate some direct sunlight but should be protected from the intense afternoon sun, which can scorch the leaves. Place the plant near a north or east-facing window for the best results. If natural light is insufficient, consider using grow lights.
Watering: Water the plant thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry. Buxus prefers evenly moist soil but does not tolerate waterlogged conditions. Ensure the pot has good drainage to prevent root rot. Reduce watering in the winter when the plant's growth slows.
